The residence at 2708 N Robinson Street in Oklahoma City is located in the historical Jefferson Park Neighborhood in Oklahoma City’s Uptown District. The neighborhood has been the epicenter of a resurgence of urban revitalization and investment in the city center.
The structure had been in a state of disrepair due to roof leaks. Additionally the building owner had contracted to have the roof “sloped” by another roofing company. The contractor framed a rain roof above the flat roof and pitched the deck into the perimeter parapet walls without providing roof drains. The roof surface was 28 gauge metal “R” panels with exposed fasteners. The work was shoddy and leaks began immediately.
